North Carolina native Jennifer Lauren is a multitalented musician, vocalist, and songwriter with a drive and passion for music like no other. Starting with piano at age 4 and discovering her vocal abilities at age 8, she began her early days exploring traditional hymns and receiving classical training as a first soprano. With her enchanting voice and eloquence on keys, her prowess as a songwriter began to manifest itself in 2014. Taking influences from a multitude of artists and genres, such as Dolly Parton, Heart, Tori Amos, Rob Thomas, and even Eminem, she has cultivated a sound and style that is as unique and refreshing as the woman herself.
Classically trained in the Soviet Union from the age of six, Elena is still inspired by master violinists like David Oistrakh and Jascha Heifetz. In order to maintain her diversity, she draws influences from Stéphane Grappelli, Miri Ben-Ari, Lakshminarayana Subramaniam, and Gabe Witcher, to name a few. Elena’s secret bucket list of collaborations has Sting and U2 at the top. Her fiery string work and strong stage presence add to Diamonds and Whiskey's unique blend of country and rock.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Brandon brings a unique blend of guitar and bass techniques to the Diamonds and Whiskey brand. Although born from a musically gifted family, it wasn't until college that Brandon began to explore his talents as a musician, starting with guitar. Soon after he joined his first band, he had to switch gears and equipment to move over to the low end of the rhythm section out of necessity. Over that time, he also developed a passion songwriting. Rooted in country and southern rock with a spoonful of blues, Brandon's style helps round out the Diamonds and Whiskey sound.
Chris McKinney, drummer and percussionist from Richmond, Virginia, has showcased his abilities in multiple bands as well as in studio seemingly since birth. Fluent across multiple genres, Chris also believes every performance is it's own unique experience and thrives in improvising and feeding off of the energy of the band and the crowd in every moment. Chris serves the music with a creative and unique mix of groove, technique, and fun. He enjoys nothing more than making people move and be moved, a perfect complement to Diamonds and Whiskey.
